USB Settings with the virtual machine¶
How do connect a usb port permanently to the virtual machine?¶
By default, your virtual machine does not have access to the hardware interfaces and devices of your host computer. Therefore, you need to add this permission. Follow these steps to reach that goal:
Go to your virtual machine settings and select the “USB” tab.
There you can use the plug icon with the plus sign to add devices to your virtual machine, which from now on will always be available when plugged in.
If the device do not connect, reboot your virtual machine or add it manually. The filter does not activate with an active virtual machine.
